We requested airport pick up and return, but was told we had to Uber to downtown location to both pick up and return. This was hard considering there were 6 of us with luggage! Cost us in Ubers to drive 5 miles, with no offer to assist by enterprise staff!

I will never use Kayak again to book a rental. I entered the dates of my trip but they defaulted to something else when I booked the trip and then I was unable to correct the dates and my money was not refundable. I have had great experience with Enterprise in the past, and purchased my current car from them, but this experience with Kayak has completely soured my feelings. I rebooked a rental though Hertz, and while it cost more, it was a great experience overall. I will book directly with Hertz for my future needs.

Very good experience overall. Rental counter agent was great to deal with. Unfortunately, the vehicle originally assigned to me was not parked in the garage spot indicated (nor anywhere else in the garage, as far as I could tell. This required me to go back to the rental counter with all my bags and get another car assigned. The second time, the car was in the indicated spot. No harm done but I did lose at least a half hour because of the problem. Otherwise, I would have no recommendations for improvement.

So if you do not have good credit or a credit card you cannot rent a car they run a soft credit check before you rent the car they dont tell you until you get to the office. Very very un cool me and my 9 year old daughter had to get from salt lake city utah to caro michigan and got stuuck in salt lake because no credit card or good credit dont you think if i had good credit i would be coming to a "car rental" to get a rude home ignorant and stupid

Good experience with pick up in SLC. Frustration with drop off in Vegas - address did not include exact location- just a huge hotel property. Somehow we were supposed to know the drop off was on the 10th story of the parking garage? Garage was not clearly marked with area to drop keys. Said to put key in the envelope and make time/mileage. No envelopes. Frustrating and took twice as long as expected - making us miss our evening show engagement - a cost of over $200….

I did not like anything about the Hertz in Salt Lake City. We were late to the place because our flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on a different flight that arrived little later than the original. By the time reached Hertz, there all cars were rented and we were offered a tiny SUV which could not accommodate 4 adults and 5 carry-on bags. The attendant was very rude and refused to give us any car because I raised my voice. We were in Utah for 10 days. We could not use the small SUV for tat many days. I will never ever rent from Hertz anymore. I had called them twice and confirmed the car. But, still they had no mid-size SUV for us. I think they just did not have any cars to rent and made it look like they were rented prior to us getting there. The attendant insulted us several times. Me raising my voice was warranted because we were left without a car. This was the worst experience we've ever had travelling anywhere in the world!

It took us over an hour to get the vehicle due to a long line as well as having to be out on a waiting list. There were only two employees working. They also did not honor my gold status for expedited check in. Worst experience I’ve had with a car rental agency

Trying to get help with our account was not optimal. The responses we got were" I didn't know how to do that " and "Did you try the web site or email address." If I can't get him free a real person,that tells me the internet is not going to be any better. I'm not that proficient with computers and prefer talking to people .

All in all, everything went well, except for one small detail. The technical condition of the car leaves much to be desired. Throughout my journey, there was a huge hum and vibration in the rear axle of the car for over 2,000 miles. It looked like a wheel bearing malfunction, or unfinished wheels were very unpleasant to drive all the way, whether you would reach the end point or not. All the way, I had to listen to very loud music so that Togo wouldn't listen to that sound.

The counter staff at the Salt Lake City Budget was rude and unhelpful. When we arrived, he informed us that he did not have the 7 passenger one way rental that we reserved back in January. He told us that we could take another car but could not tell us if it was for 5 or 7. He told us to wait while he checked with another budget person in the car pick up area. He ignored us for over 30 minutes and when we returned to the counter, he continued his rude attitude and acted like it was my problem that the car I reserved was not present. In the meantime, my husband went directly to the car pick up area and spoke with "Johnnie" who was extremely helpful. Johnnie reported he had the 7 passenger car and had tried to call the counter staff multiple times but he did not pick up. The counter staff should not be working in customer services. He lacks interpersonal skills and is made no effort to help the situation. This reflects very poorly on Budget that they allow this person to be the first interaction with customers.

They charged me more then I had to pay and I won’t ever use them again there excuse was I came 20 minutes early which I walked away to the restroom and brang truck back in 15 min late and they said they couldn’t fix anything and I told them I won’t ever use there service again

I waited in line to pick up the car for over an hour. Once I was able to get to the counter, they charged a higher price than I was quoted by Kayak and gave me a smaller SUV, not an intermediate SUV (which is what I reserved). They said I could only get a bigger car for a higher price. I will not use Dollar again.

Pickup and dropoff were quick and easy and the vehicle was clean. I traveled for a ski vacation with a large ski bag and reserved an Intermediate SUV, a "Nissan Rogue" or equivalent. They gave me a tiny Chevy Trax and my ski bag would not fit in the vehicle without having the back seat and the front passenger seat in the down position. The Trax is much smaller than the Rogue and transporting the ski bag in it was inconvenient. How disappointing. Beware.

After waiting in line for an hour - along with dozens of others, we finally got to the desk only to be told that it would be a two-hour wait for a car despite having a reservation. When I inquired whether there were other vehicles available I was told that they only had pickup trucks currently. When I said that would be fine, the desk agent informed me that I would have to pay an upgraded rate. The desk agent was as kind and sympathetic and blamed the issue on the manager - who was nowhere to be found. We were able to walk next door to Enterprise and secure a vehicle at a cheaper rate in 10 minutes. The manager at Dollar in SLC needs to be fired.

My return experience was VERY POSITIVE and REFRESHING...totally UNEXPECTED because of LARRY. It was 4:45 a.m. and 9 degrees...Larry carefully guided me to the return spot. He was very pleasant, smiling, and GENUINELY CONCERNED about how our rental experience + the vehicle was. He then showed me the billing data and carefully verified my email address for the receipt. He was UNHURRIED and LOOKED ME IN THE EYE + LISTENED very carefully...this is not normal, but very UNIQUE in the customer care and service arena. Please RECOGNIZE HIM well...he's a true ambassador for National.
