Staff should be told to treat the customer that is there in person and in front of them is a higher priority than random phone calls. Both at pickup and drop off we were interrupted by someone calling in. The clerk dropped us and spoke on the phone for almost 5 minutes while we stood in front of them halfway through the process. The wifi should be improved so that it actually works in the lot so the clerk’s handheld device works outside. There was no selection of vehicles. Although there were plenty of vehicles on the lot they hadn’t been cleaned and were unavailable. That should be a priority. The value for money was poor. A well used, beaten up, stained upholstery vehicle for a premium price is not value for money. Enterprise can do better………I know they can.

No shuttle from the airport to the enterprise location. Advertised as off airport location however did not state that a shuttle or ride was available. If I was disabled or unable to walk 2.5 miles in unknown location and conditions, I would of not purchased/reserved the vehicle. In this instance, I had a disabled traveler with me who was in a wheel chair. There is no side walks on the main highway as I found out while paying more for an Uber ride to an enterprise location. My disabled traveler remained at the airport due to a compact Uber car that was unable to store a wheelchair. First for me in my entire life where any rental car company says “its the only way to get to our location, its normal”. At least advertise the stipulation on your site. Its decieving and unethical.
Great service, new cars, even upgraded us for free when our car wasn’t quite ready on time so we could get on our way more quickly. Would definitely use them again.

The ladies at the counters were very helpful and accommodating when I asked to drive as car not as "fancy" as a Jaguar SUV. The BMW was more like the cars that I am accustomed to driving and it was very comfortable and responsive. I did not know that Sixt specializes in luxury cars, and only went with them bc they had the best price for the type of car we needed to haul 3 inflatable paddle boards, 1 inflatable raft, and 5 pieces of luggage. Returning the car was easy and the gentleman that took care of us exuded aloha spirit; he was a joy to talk with.

Not enough employees to check you in. Once checked in, it took 30 mins to get my car. The lot was filled with cars with the same model, but they said my car was being washed. How can they check me in and assign me a car when it wasn’t ready? At one point, the line of people waiting to pick up their car was longer than those waiting to check in.

Not having a Bed Bug infestation in the vehicle would have been a great start. Absolutely disgusting. Customer service was horrible. Roadside assistance was terrible to deal with. The only nice thing about it was the tow truck driver who was unaffiliated with them. I will NEVER be renting from budget again.
It was good. The vehicle was a little banged up when we got it and it wasn’t mentioned. We took pictures just for evidence. Other than that it was great.

I was in the middle of a natural disaster and didn’t receive a refund. Hertz was awful and Kayak.com is awful. Really disappointing given the circumstances with the fires in Maui.

We reserved a dodge caravan, and we’re expecting something a little newer. We understand that it is difficult to get new vehicles for rentals, but this van seemed quite worn. Maybe it’s because of being so close to the ocean. It was adequate for our needs. The staff were extremely responsive and helpful…top notch. Drop off was quick and easy.

Compared to all of the other agencies, thrifty seems to understaff which results in long wait times. The last thing you want to do after flying five plus hours is stand in a line for 45 minutes to pick up your rental car. I feel bad for the staff because they’re so kind, but Thrifty needs to please consider adding more of them!

We waited for 1 1/2 hours in line for a car in hawaii. After a five hour flight. Not good.
Watch what you're getting charged for before you reserve your rental car! I thought i was paying $297 for a week plus $92 for prepaid gas upon return, which i thought at the time was an amazing deal. When I picked up the car, taxes and add on expenses jacked it up to $379 and I got charged $118 after for the gas. I ended up paying $500 which was not clearly disclosed to me beforehand. I had to go online to ask for a receipt, which took a few days to receive. The car itself suited our needs and didn't break down, so that was good. The staff at the location never answer their phones either, they seem understaffed which was annoying, My questions could have been answered over the phone.

All good, but many peopel coming to Maui, so almost 1 hour to have the car. Then I have a car with an oil issue message, so need to change it. it was quickly done, but not the best pick up I experiment! Car was ok and all ok with people here to help.

This rental location purports to be for the JHM airport, but in fact is located a 10 minute drive away. They provided a ride from the JHM airport to the car rental location on arrival, but on departure, the departing flight was too early, so I had to take and pay for a taxi to the airport after dropping off the car. How can you claim to be a car rental location for an airport if you can't even get there during scheduled flights? Awful.

National rental at the Kahului Airport was a very pleasant experience. The place is easily accessible from the terminal - either a 3 minute walk or a breezy tram ride to the new, clean facility. Finding the National desk was also easy. Once inside, the counter person was very pleasant and quickly helped me work through an unforeseen issue. She was cheerful, professional and made me feel welcome. The man at the car lot asked me how many in my party, and whether our luggage was a little or a lot. He directed us to the better-fitting SUV still in the same car class, but really a more efficient vehicle for our needs. The car was clean, got good fuel economy and had bells and whistles, like car connect which made the map feature on my phone safer to observe, all of which made the trip super easy. I would definitely use National again, particularly because of the customer service (and the price was not nearly as nose-bleed as I expected).
