Car pickup and drop-off was easy. However, the car smelled like marijauna, which made my mother and sister feel sick. The smell was overwhelming. I’m not sure how a car with that smell could have been offered.

It was fine. Enterprise was the car rental of Travelers Insurance. We did not have a choice. It turned out to be fine. Pickup and Dropoff went very smoothly. The SUV was basic, but drove easily. No problems.

Awesome staff, very helpful. I didn't catch names but I had a freakout because I didn't read the website copy carefully and missed the 200 deposit, but the guy at the desk was funny, cool, and patient. For a first time car renter, this place was a breeze.

not enough service people at pick up counter in Richmond, even at peak hours.. had to wait 40 min for pickup drop off was very confusing at BWI.. had to just leave the car in a huge return area.. there was no attendant.. did not like the experience

Most comically bad operation I have ever seen. Took me 70 minutes to simply retrieve my car reservation, during which I saw the two rudest and most incompetent employees struggle to complete basic tasks while demeaning customers in front of me the whole time. The continued existence of this location makes me want to short Avis Budget stock.

Very disappointed with Hertz. After having my rental booked for over two weeks, I showed up the morning of my rental only to be told I couldn’t get my car. I already had paid for the rental, and the day of they told me they wouldn’t accept my debit card which was already on file, paying for the car. So on Christmas Eve, my family drove all night to get me and my wife where we needed to go. I just wish someone had been more clear with the specifications on being an under 25 driver. All it said online was that more fees may apply, but to show up and not be able to pick up the car I already paid for is just very disappointing

We had until 1 am to pick up our car and we were infront of the car office at 12:30 am and they were closed,my wife and I had to take a cab and rent a hotel, come back the next day in a cab and pick up the car, I want to know who is going to credit us for the screw-up?

Alamo could start by telling customers up front that they charge a $300 deposit on top of what they charge for the rental. They could also actually cancel the reservation when requested instead of saying “It will cancel itself.” I paid up front for extra insurance that they also did not bother to address refunding.

Very happy with the price for a van. We were helping someone move and the agent put the seats down for us in a Chevy Pacifica. That made it perfect for stowing all her stuff. The van was easy to drive and used very little gas. The agent was friendly.

Ease of picking up the car was nice but I did not like how it was not explained to me during pickup about gas, allowed mileage etc. I also found the car to be overpriced for what it was. It wasn’t a bad or good experience, just “okay” overall.

Custom service is very lacking! I pick up process was not pleasant because when I showed up to get the car I was told "you're lucky I have a car because you are over 30 minutes late." Drop was even worse because they closed earlier than scheduled and so I had was charged and extra day.

They gave my original reservation away after being an hour late, and I had to rebook anther vehicle(smaller, for more money) and sit at the airport(an hour away) for 3 hours before they were able to get me a car(economy was all they had available, even though I paid for a truck/suv). The lady at the Avis/Budget location in Virginia Beach(3664 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452) was absolutely ZERO help and was about as rude as rude can be.

1st of all, dollar was not even open and we had to check out with Hertz. Secondly, they didn't have the kind of car that I reserved, so I ended up paying an extra $100, plus fees which came to an additional $200 above what I had already paid and reserved. Thirdly, the car was in need of servicing, and they said they didn't have another car to give me so I had to drive it around with the oil light flashing on the entire time. Because of this, we did not feel safe going to Shenandoah Park, which was supposed to be a major part of our trip. I will never rent from Dollar again.

They gave me a car that had broken down the day before, without properly fixing it. So I experienced transmission problems while on a bridge with no where to pull over, which put us in danger. The only reason I know that the car had previous transmission problems because we somehow got assigned the same tow truck driver who recognized the vehicle from the day before. Dollar was seriously negligent. I will never be renting from Dollar or their parent company Hertz ever again because I cannot support a company who willfully puts their customers in danger.

the car was nice once we finally got to it

it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get into our car with a pre-existing reservation. the first desk lady put us on a "Waiting list". we then checked out with her only to get sent to another slow line for that desk person to give us a car. little communication or apologize for what was delaying us. all this and my price for the rental was super high. not happy at all
