After making the reservation and driving to that location, we were told that they don’t have a car for us. We spent $70 to Uber to and from the Dorchester, MS location just to be told that there is no car for us. Extremely disappointed!

They were very quick with getting the rental car and had a lot of people on staff in the garage knowing it was a holiday weekend. The rental car bus seemed to take a very long time to pick up at the terminal.

Kayak allowed me to book an enterprise rental at 12noon, which was Enterprise’s closing time in Framingham, MA. There was only tiny font in the email confirmation that provided the closing time, which I did not see. So I arrived just after 12noon and enterprise was closed. Please change that functionality on the reservation site - so clients have a larger window to pick up the reservation before closing time. Or make it very clear in big font of the closing time. I had to travel an extra 40 mins to another enterprise location at the airport with all my luggage and kids to get a new rental. The agent at Logan airport was excellent and found me a comparable vehicle at the same online price. But overall my experience was very poor. My weekend travel was significantly impacted and delayed by this problem that could have been avoided through a better website design.
Avis staff was helpful, price was good. The location is a little confusing if you do not know the area.

Person at drop-off claiming to be the owner of the location - he did NOT give me his name - was incredibly intense and rude about having the car cleaned before drop off. The car was clean - we only used it for 6 hours - but he insisted we get it fully washed or we would be charged $450. As I tried to show how clean it was by pulling out the car mats, he touched me to pull me back from the car and told me to get off his lot. It was a terrible and intense 15 min experience and I believe I was trying to be taken advantage of (other people at drop off felt the same way). I eventually just asked for my receipt and he told me he wouldnt charge me the $450 after all. I think there may be some sort of scam (in concert with the carwash) going on or there is just something very different about this location. I will NEVER rent from there again and I may never rent from Avis again because of this experience.

Horrible dropoff experience in Philly. No signage explaining what to do. Pulled into lanes that looked like a place for cars to be left. There were a few people outside that saw me arrive but did nothing to help and quickly disappeared. Went inside to the counter and waiting in line for a while... only to finally get to the front and be told "oh you just have to leave the keys in the car and you can go." Terrible.
After making the reservation on line, I went in person to the office to add an additional day to the rental. After waiting in line for 30 minutes at an office in downtown Boston staffed by a single person (the rare office not out at the airport), the person in the office did this and quoted me a price which was essentially the same as the initial quote with one more day at the same daily rate. When I went later to print the rental information which was emailed to me I discovered that the price had gone up by 35% (for taking a 9 day rental to a 10 day rental) with an increase in both the base rate and the daily rate. After close to an hour on the phone with unhelpful customer service, I cancelled the rental and went to Enterprise instead — a price comparable the original quote from Hertz, with an office staffed by multiple people eager to be helpful. An experience which will shift my loyalty in the future.

I booked a reservation and was not told that the location CLOSED at 4:00 on Saturday! My train didn’t get in until after 4:00. It cost me several HUNDRED DOLLARS to get a car at the airport.

Tried to rent me a Tesla, but where we were going did not have easy access to charging stations, then had to pay to “upgrade” to a lower class gasoline car. This was not requested or mentioned in reservation, but what can you do. I tried calling to change my vehicle drop off location to another near by location and customer service was poor, lady barely spoke English and could not understand what I was asking. I basically gave up. The car was otherwise fine.

You can give the right car that was rented. You could not advertise for a car you don't have on your lot. You can be more specific about leaving a 200.00 deposit even when the rental was paid in full. You can specify that there is an additional charge per day per driver. You can accept debit card as well as credit card for vans . You can accept more than one credit card of there is not enough balance on one card for the payment and deposit. Over all your company did a very poor job

The location in downtown Boston instead of airport was the worst possible location. Traffic in Boston made it difficult to reach your office. Staff at office was good. Car was dirty when picked up.
Thrifty charged me two hours extra even though I returned the car on time because their attendant waited to check the car back in. When I contacted customer service, the original rep said I needed to provide proof of my return time. I had no proof bc the attendant didn’t give me paperwork, just took the key and said I was all set. I asked them to check their security cameras to see that I had returned the car EARLIER than my return time. The whole thing felt scammy. I won’t use this location again.

They over charge, I was book SUV or similar for $225.00 they give me KIA electric I'm not agree they change to RAV4 they don't say anything after I get home they charge me $517.00 total they adding $240.00 for upgrade from SUV to SUV RAV4. what do you thing different.

I was delayed because of storms and finally got to Boston around 330 am and the offices had closed at 130am so I had to wait an additional 2 and a half hours before I could try to pick up my rental. When it was finally time to pick up my car they took an additional hour getting cars “ready” for customers. The car I had had been cleaned in haste and there was still food and trash underneath the seats but at this point I was ready to just be on the road to my destination. When it was time to drop off the car I was charged an additional $113 dollars for taxes and surcharges which I thought was included with the initial rental. Knowing how Thrifty operates I will chose a different company from now on and will not refer them to anyone.

It was the worst car booking experience. Line took 3 hours to get to attendant. They had one attendant for 50 people waiting. Then another line once got key to get the actual car. Our reservation was for 11am and we finally got a car pulling out 3 hours later.

When I dropped the car off with Janet R. she was excellent! I was wearing a sling on my right arm because I have broken my shoulder. She couldn’t have been more helpful with me and my luggage. The wheel on the luggage had broken and I couldn’t make it move with one hand. She brought it downstairs for me on the elevator. I so appreciated that! She deserves a raise, and a promotion!

We showed up and they didn’t have a car for us, they said they were understaffed and they didn’t have any clean cars. I saw what looked like hundreds of cars in the Sixt area, but he said he was working alone and couldn’t help us…even if I took a dirty car. Horrible experience after flying all day, landing at midnight and having a tired 5 and 8 year old. Was horrible and don’t think I’ll use them again.
