I am still confused why airlines started boarding front to back. It makes the whole process difficult and awkward

The planes were full to the brim! I understand that is how they make their money, there was no room for my backpack overhead and got the great pleasure of bumping into and rubbing my butt on at least 9 arms. Other than that, the flight attendant let me get some much needed sleep.

The flight was on an Embraer 175. Boarding was in time and we even took off on time. Being a regional Jet, there was no food in Business Class despite the fact it was a flight over 2 hours.
