How do you get to the city centre from the Bangkok airport?

The Bangkok city centre is located west of Suvarnabhumi Airport, and there are a number of ways to get there. The Bangkok Airport Rail Link service generally takes between 70 and 120 minutes to arrive at Phaya Thai station. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office in the airport, and the service departs every 10 minutes or so during peak hours. Travellers can also take a public bus to downtown Bangkok; simply board the free shuttle bus to the bus terminal and select from one of ten bus lines, depending on your destination. If you prefer to take a taxi into Bangkok, the public taxi stand is located outside the ground level of the terminal. Take a ticket from the taxi queue machine and proceed to the corresponding lane number.
