How do you get to the city centre from the Amsterdam airport?
You have four convenient options at your disposal to get from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport to the city centre. The train that connects Schiphol International Airport with Amsterdam’s Central Station is a quick and cost-effective option. The train platforms can be found beneath the Main Arrivals Plaza, and the trains operate well into the night every day of the week. Bus 397 is another convenient option, with a stop located just outside the Arrivals Hall. Look for the big red bus labelled "The Amsterdam Airport Express". If you’re staying at a hotel in Amsterdam, you can opt for your hotel’s shuttle service or book a seat on the Connexxion Hotel Shuttle. Taxis can be found at the taxi rank just outside the Arrivals Plaza, and Uber is also available in Amsterdam and throughout The Netherlands. However, with taxis and Uber, traffic can cause delays if you’re travelling during peak times.
