The car had cockroaches in it
We experienced a lot of homophobia and shady upsells that were deceptive. Never using Hertz or Kayak again.
Given the tight squeeze of rental cars during this period, we were grateful to find this one at a fairly reasonable price. However, it was hard to confirm details with a real representative prior to arrival (did we need to reserve a car seat, etc.). The number to call repeatedly wanted to direct me to just check my booking online. As a plus though, the actual pick up was a breeze, the car was roomier than we expected, and drop off was effortless!
The car was old (50K miles) and not completely clean on the outside.
