A one day rental is over priced for a compact vehicle. Pick up took over 1 hr. Drop off: closed upon scheduled arrival time at 2pm and had to wait over 35min for the office to open (20+min more than the sign said on the door), which is ridiculous bc it was still unannounced since the scheduled time was 2pm. Basically causing delays of almost 23rd in our plans. Not professional or acceptable to repeat business with Budget

The pick up wait time was horrendous. They had one person working the counter and said person seemed more focused on chatting up the customer they were working with instead of recognizing they needed to expedite the check out process to get to the other customers,

I booked an SUV and they offered me a Camero or Challenger. Then had to wait 20 minutes for them to find me an SUV and the gentleman helping me could not get in contact with other people to assist us faster. I don't think the car was cleaned very well or wiped down prior to giving us the keys, but overall it was fine. Dropping off the car was possibly the worst experience I could imagine. I got there before they closed and waited almost 20 minutes until someone came to help me. The woman was rude and told me I had to use the drop box because they were closed, though I was there prior to closing. If she had assisted me upon arrival, I would have returned the car a day early and not had to pay for the extra day but the lack of customer service and willingness to help me costed me an extra $150. I would not drop off at this location again unless it was made aware prior that you need to use the drop box and not talk to anyone.
Checkout with Dino at John Wayne airport was flawless. I loved the car and Phoenix Checkin was a breeze. I plan to lease with Alamo again as the entire process was seamless.

The documents received from the Alamo Rental Car desk team at SNA did not include their particular location’s phone #. Once finding the SNA Alamo Rental Car phone # on the web, their hours of operation were listed incorrectly, and I then needed to phone the MAIN ALAMO CUSTOMER SERVICE # to reach an agent to extend my reservation for another day. It would be helpful for the SNA Airport Alamo Rental Car franchise to include their office phone # and update the corrected regular business hours on all documentation given to clients and on the internet. Thank you.

Drop off location in SF was closed without warning. The sign on the Alamo store directed us to another drop off location that refused to accept the car. We needed to go to a third location which was hard to find.
It would have been better transparency. When they brought the car it was not what I order and when they brought another car they charge me extra for the vehicle. If I would have known for bringing another car would be charge to me I would have just cancel my reservation. Not once would I notify about the charge.

I reserved BMW X3 online. When I went to the Enterprise and requested to check in, I asked if they have the BMW available, the customer service representative told me yes, they checked me in and charged my card, so she asked me to wait until her colleague comes to help me. When Shalvy came she told me that they don’t have BMW and I should drive Q5 instead. I was really shocked, Q5 was not in good condition, there were a lot of scratches on car. I didn’t have any options, since I must to drive towards San Diego for my daughter’s graduation. I asked for different availability and they charged me 179 instead of 130. It was very frustrating.
Waiting in line for a rental pick up in this day and age is ridiculous. Doing so in an uncomfortable parking garage with no seating even more so. Add that to the not-very-pleasant people working there (barking at waitining customers, no eye contact mumbling at counter) and you get the picture. Plus, the car itself had terrible highway noise. Going with the recognized "brand" turned out not to be much better than the super-economical rental agency I decided against.

Huge line at the airport check which moved kind of quick to my surprise. Guy behind the counted was friendly quick and I was on my way. Same at the drop. No line but things went smooth and fast.

Kayak had cars available on its site for a one way trip where the Avis site had none.
Like every rental property in the Country, the gentleman doing the job - by himself did a great job. He could have used a minimum of one more person. The line became long, but he handled it well

I was charged for a tank of gas even though the car was brought back with a full tank. The attendant said he could not refund to my credit even though he was able to charge my credit card. He was very unprofessional. I told him he was stealing money. I will not rent from Hertz again and I will put a stop payment on charges.

Beware Hertz has 2 sites @ SNA/Orange County. We were lucky that airport Hertz able to override offsite Hertz reservation so we could simply drive away rental car instead paying for Uber rides to/from offsite Hertz. Rental car was very good.

The car I rented wasn’t available. Only car available was an upgrade. My card has no chip therefore had to cancel my original rental, call Hertz 800# and put the more expensive car on my daughter’s card. Hertz staff was helpful however the overall experience was VERY FRUSTRATING and time consuming!! Will go back to Enterprise next time for sure!!
