i feel like I was ripped off by going through this Budget-Kayak approach to renting a car. What should have been $200 ended up almost $300. Also, after signing up for an enrolling in the Budget app, I did the pre-rental selections and prepped the trip in advance. When I arrived, I was made to go through the non-app (not fast tracked) pick-up. Then I started the car and the rear wheel was over 10psi lower than a safe level. I asked to have it filled. I was told to go to a gas station where I could do that myself. All in all, on a day when every minute counted (family emergency), my departure was delayed an hour. Then after paying for satellite radio, it never ever activated on my entire rental period (1 day). Made for a much less desirable 8-hour trip. Then I got to the destination where I was to turn in the car. Despite its 6pm closing time, I arrived at 5:10pm and the entire place was shut with nobody anywhere. I will not likely use Budget again. Enterprise costs more, but now I know why. They have customer service and give you what you pay for with no surprises or let-downs. Very disappointed in this Kayak-Budget experience. Not sure anyone cares, and I know my concerns and desire for getting funds back for the radio and extra charges probably won't do a thing to make up for the experience.
