Rented car through Hertz with Kayak, got to location for 12Noon rental at 12:05. Location was closed. Should not allow pickup AT closing time.

Booked with you all for a different location then wasn’t “allowed” to drop off to my selection point. Had to cancel last day and was only given $15 back for loss of a whole last day. Hertz informed me I was not allowed to drop off car at airport with a lock box or drop keys somewhere. Then when I took car a day early to Hertz in Port Charlotte, the manager told me I actually could have dropped off key to Punta Gorda airport, which was my original plan. Lost lots of money including paying fir Uber rides because I no longer had rental car. Horrible experience

I never received my car. I had a 12pm pick up from a location that closed at 12pm. How does that make any sense. Clearly a faulty system. When I arrived at 12:18, there was no one around for help. They were then closed until 2 days later. I was stranded and had to rent a car from someone else. But it gets even better, Hertz still charged me for the car I never used! Terrible service

My flight was cancelled and rebooked the next day. Therefore I needed the rental car for an extra day. when i requested to extend the rental by a day, Hertz said no, that it couldn't be extended. So i had to return the car (3 hour drive) to the airport and then get a hotel near the airport. It was hit and uncomfortable and a lot of in and out of airport for no reason. I will not choose Hertz again. Also it took me several tries to get through Hertz’ automated telephone system to just speak to a human. Trying to get through to the local rental place proved to be even more difficult.
