JFK Budget RAC was exhibit A of how a business with no manager operates. Walked into the location for a 12 noon reservation and there was total chaos- 50 to 60 people waiting in line ahead of us. 4 or 5 desk agents totally overwhelmed. People who were already checked in were waiting in a separate area for their cars. After nearly 2 hours of waiting in the queue, I checked in. Went to get my car only to find a person already sitting in the car trying to claim the car because they were waiting. I resolved that with the assistance of a lot attendant. While I was waiting in the queue my wife went around to othe car rental companies and saw none of them had this problem. Clearly Budget needs to get a new leader for JFK.
How easy it was to book. I appreciate that and look to do more business in the future.
Almost 1 hour waiting in the queue at 11 PM with a small baby... Charging way more than in the booking and the lady was referring to the currency. It was booked for 86$ and I had to pay 116€, very kind... At the end, they gave me 200€ penalty due to a sratch that was not done by me but the guy did not find in the System... worst experience so far with rental car company.
Every interaction with a person was great, friendly and helpful service all around. Anybody always wants cheaper pricing, I think that is just baseline consumerism, but I have been using Budget CPH and likely will again through affiliate for maximum discounts. They even offered me an Audi A5 upgrade instead of Q3 if I wanted it, you can’t beat that service.
