I picked up the car at MCO, Orlando International Airport. My friend dropped me off at Arrivals and I followed the signs that said "Rental Car Pick Up" and it took me down one level and across the street, but I ended up needing to go down another level back across the street to where I was literally just at. I was carrying all of my stuff and was very annoyed that I had to go back and forth. The signs should be more clear as to where to go to get your rental car.
Honestly renting the car to get my elderly parents from the airport to our destination was pretty quick and easy. I guess I would suggest that folks traveling with elderly are given a car closest to check in. We had to walk just about to the end of the row for our car. A section a lot closer would be a huge help and convenience for those folks that a long walk is difficult
I think it’s weird that the insurance is through a completely separate company. Hertz asked if I wanted insurance, I said I had paid for it already but it wasn’t on their file. I understand why they didn’t see it, but I think it’s weird. I was second guessing whether I was covered or not / if I did it correctly. It would have been nice if Hertz had know I bought third party insurance I would have felt better (if it was on their file).

Pros:It was ok.
Cons:Well, at first we thought the city smelled here and there. We got to the hotel and as we stood at the back of the car there was a horrible smell. We thought it was the pool across the way. Turns out the rubber seal along the trunk was somewhat detached and moisture was getting in the trunk. It smelled as if there had been a dead body in there, at some point! I was glad we got a car, but I thought the rate could have been a little better.
