At pickup they did not have they requested vehicle but something much larger / less fuel efficient. The person asked if I’d take it if they marked fuel out at zero to save a little on gas. I said yes. When I checked the invoice it noted fuel full. Not a big deal - I paid for the fuel I used but if I hadn’t checked I’d have paid the much higher return rate based on her statement to me.

Staff was rude and they told us we were out of luck because the didn’t have any more cars
National driving license not accepted. Changing the booking to another driver with an international license was problematic as the staff lied that it was not valid. After a long time they made a new booking with double the price.

If you’ve never flown into the Flagstaff Pulliam airport (it was my first), you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Very small airport which made the pick up and drop off very pleasant and fairly quick. There was only one counter but three workers who serviced both Budget and Alamo. Pick up and drop off was right at the airport (within 50 ft of the bldg). Only thing that could have been different (not necessarily better) - I haven’t rented a car in quite but we didn’t do a walk around before leaving the lot. Our luggage was delayed so didn’t need to use the trunk immediately but the next morning I noticed a little damage to the bumper. When turning in the vehicle there was no walk around and I haven’t seen/heard from them about it and hopefully won’t

They only had a Prius available and since we were traveling with a small dog for 8 days it wouldn’t work for us we had to pay an extra $15 a day to move to a Toyota Camry which was not really clean and needed the tires balanced because the steering wheel vibrated. Otherwise we would have to wait at the airport for a minimum of 3 hours for another vehicle.
Even though I paid for the car in advance, because I did not show up within 2 hours, the car was given away. There were no cars left. Kayak or Hertz needs to inform that one must show up within that time frame, or alert the car rental agency.

I would definitely rent from Hertz again I arrived late in Flagstaff and they closed at 4 pm so I took a taxi to my hotel and the next morning they came and got me from my hotel. Hertz was awesome thank you for everything. Their employees were very kind and courteous people.
The receptionist was very helpful even though I was in a rush and stressed. She quickly got my car and also calmed me down while she got my information.

Avis closed at 4p.m., just before our plane arrived. No one told us in advance that Avis would be closed. We could not get anyone on the phone to explain the situation that day or the next. Priceline charged us a $50 no show for not showing up. We showed up, Avis did not.

When the airlines failed to inform us of a cancelled flight and we had to scramble to find a way home, Avis was very considerate of our predicament and discounted our change to drop-off location with a greatly discounter fee. Avis, we will be back!

The staff that I picked up the car from was super kind. We did call ahead before the pickup and asked to pick up the car a day later and they said that would be ok. when we called the day of the pickup they were unaware of the pickup day switch. they were very accommodating though and hooked is up with another car. all good!
Was travelling to a dropoff location that was several hours away from the pickup. I was charged an entire extra day because I was delayed a few hours by traffic.

Car was fine. Agent at counter in phoenix airport on Friday 12/3 (Kevin? Not sure - worked there 13 years) was rude once we declined to pre pay fuel & declined additional coverage. I appreciate understanding the risk, but he was borderline threatening and was completely dismissive from that point forward.

We paid for a full size SUV and received an Infiniti SUV that has some transmission issues. After driving for a day we determined it wasn’t safe so requested AC exchange. Called the 800# to discuss options, we drove to the closest Enterprise location in Flagstaff, AZ. They were very helpful but didn’t have a large enough vehicle, they suggested we go to the Flagstaff Pulliam airport location. We drove the additional 15 minutes out there and were greeted by Tiffany who acted as if I was lying about the car issues, even rolled her eyes at me. We told them we would not be driving that Infiniti home that night. Again, they didn’t have any full size SUVs (although there were several in the lot) and we were offered a 2 door Charger. Our group was going to be 5 adults with luggage which is why we reserved a FULL SIZE SUV. We need a vehicle so we took it knowing that I would be speaking with customer service immediately based on Tiffany’s attitude and our dissatisfaction. After speaking with Ivan at customer service he located a minivan and reserved it at the Route 66 Enterprise location, or so we thought. We arrived at that location to find out the van has been moved to the airport location. So back we go to the airport to switch into the THIRD CAR IN THREE DAYS. The van was dirty, trash in the console and crumbs in the seats. I had also paid for SiriusXM radio which didn’t work for almost a day and a half. We communicated that issue to the manager Ben at the Flagstaff airport several times. Needless to say I have never been so disappointed in how this entire situation was handled. Knowing your customer is upset and inconvenienced I feel like the Alamo employees should do what it takes to make them happy. That didn’t happen. I would appreciate someone from Alamo reaching out to me to discuss how to make this right.
