Worse ever. Shuttle is by metro bus s out of LAX to a remote rental lot where a can will pick you up. Took an hour to get the metro bus. Arriving we were told there were no cars and we had to wait two or three hours and maybe we would get a car. We had reservations! I ended talking Lyft to a reputable car agency. Also when you get in the van there is a sign you must put up $500 deposit. That was never disclosed.

I went to both the west LA & Santa Monica locations. The manager was on site and helped me at each spot. They took great pride in the cleanliness of their cars and worked with me patiently for some special circumstances. They are a little slower than the big companies but for me the customer service is worth the trade off

I booked it online through kayak. I went to the Avis location and as soon as I got there I spoke with the Avis rep, he said right away that there’s no cars at all and there’s nothing he could do for me. This left me in a bad spot because now I’m there with all my luggage and no car. I had to call an Uber to a different Avis location. I spoke with an Avis person on the phone and she said she’d transfer my reservation to the other Avis location. When I got to the other Avis location they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn’t find my reservation. They ended up giving me a mini van when I had reserved a pick up truck

I asked for compact and they only had 1 car available which was a Kia soul. The car itself was dirty on the inside with lots of cosmetic damage on the outside. There were finger prints all over the back mirror. And my car smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke. I didn't change cars because I had a family emergency and also I'm sure they wouldn't have changed it since they said that was the last car. The man at the counter was nice though.
