I had to cancel my rental car last minute because they didn't take my particular credit card. Unfortunately, the insurance company that they use did take my credit card and charged me $33.00 that I still haven't gotten back. Budget told me that I would be credited the full $30 back on Friday. That didn't happen and now I am having to dispute the charge with my bank. Please help me if you can and willing.

Agents and car Arrived 30min late to pick up location which meant I had to prepay gas which was more then the car rental Itself and not proportionate to usage.

I requested an economy car and was given a pickup truck. I was not told I was receiving a truck until the keys were handed to me. Normally this would be considered an upgrade, however the gas mileage between the two vehicles was the reason I wanted to select an economy car.

Very minimal instruction in Tesla operation. It was extremely difficult to figure out with no instructions. Found radio volume on last hour of trip- never did find wipers on/off and looked everywhere.

Please note there are two Hertz locations - one at the airport and one down the road. There was a lack of communication between them both and they each seem to be staffed by just one person.

Upon the recommendation of my significant other, we called Hertz to verify our reservation for a car with pickup set for July 9, the original reservation was made in January 2021. We called the Hertz location we were picking up from directly. The representative we spoke with told us someone had called and cancelled the reservation on July 5. When we questioned the person who had cancelled the car as neither of us had called Hertz to cancel she responded "the cancellation came from central reservation." She then told us they did not have the car we reserved and would not provide any alternatives other than giving us the number for Avis. I continued to ask who cancelled the reservation and she kept attempting to gaslight us and explain to us how we had cancelled the reservation. Rather than find a solution she then hung up on us. The fact we reserved the convertible for an affordable price months in advance, coupled with the fact Hertz had no convertible leads me to believe Hertz merely cancelled our reservation without any notice and rented the convertible for a higher price. This caused us to rent the car for a higher price since it was last notice. I will never rent from Hertz again.

Despite having a confirmed reservation, there was no cars available to me when I arrived at the counter. I was referred to a competitor at the next door counter where I ended up paying more, but at least I got a car!

My rental car was not clean on the inside or outside. I’m not as concerned with the outside because I understand that’s harder to control, but I expected the inside to be spotless given the current state of the world. Instead, it was dusty, had sticky spots from a spilled beverage (I’m assuming), & dirt footprints throughout the car, such as on the passenger side (where I have not been sitting, or had a passenger). Additionally, there were no disinfecting wipes in the car for me to use to clean, which I’ve received in other rentals during the pandemic, so I had to use the ones I’d packed myself to clean the inside of the car to my comfort. It felt as if the car had just been dropped off by the previous renter, then handed off to me. I know there is a rental car shortage, & cars are in much higher demand right now as travel resumes, but as a renter I would hope that my safety is the highest priority! Adding this on top of what I paid for this rental car, I will not rent from Alamo again.

I only had a debit card, no notes were given on needing a actual credit card online ( unless you are flying into SB airport lol) but was told that the down town location would take debit. ( which makes no sense.) Desk person would not help call downtown location to see if they had any vehicles like I had reserved at the airport location. Not willing to help. Poor customer service.
