Our check in agent (Matthew) couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. He did the walk around with us and noted every possible scratch, dent or other discrepancy and initialed them. He also encouraged me to video the walk around since we would be turning the car in to a different location. He then offered to go over all the features of the car with us. We’ve never had that kind of attention from an agent before.
They didn’t have the car I reserved and had the confirmation for; so, they charged me more to upgrade to an suv since it’s what they had available.

Budget booked my pickup for 12pm but the store closed at 12pm. I arrived for my booking and no one was there. I went to the rental store at the airport, around 15 minutes away and was told that the same booking was around $200 dollars higher at that location. I rejected the offer and got on the internet and found a similar booking through budget for the same price as I was going to pay at the original pickup location. Then when I was checking out, the rep attempted to get me to sign paperwork that showed a rate around $200 higher than I was quoted on Kayak. I told him the paperwork was incorrect and he semi-sheepishly told me that he would get new paperwork that reflected the correct price. Then when we dropped the car off they lost the keys and told us we lost the keys even though the keys were straight away in plain sight in the car when we left it. Now I am going to be charged some exorbitant fee to replace the keys they lost. Never will rent from Budget or Avis again.
Car was scratched on both sides and severe scuffs/scratches on windshield Left rear tire was low on air when I picked it up, and needed aired up twice during my trip. Likely a leak Staff in Boise were great, but operator in Grand Junction had a poor demeanor

I booked the rental on Kayak, was charged for the optional travel insurance, then 10min later the car lot called to say they had no cars available. This was the second time it happened th at day, the town was sold out, but Kayak kept showing they had inventory available for rent. I was charged $33 from Allianz and it has not been refunded.
Everything was great, except our car REEEEKED of cigarette smoke. It gave me a headache and was a little much to travel in with kids. The staff was amazing, and pick up and drop off was very easy.

The compact SUV was nice, however, the Driver Side windshield wiper was broken and the right front brake growled so bad i was concerned the wheel would fall off prior to reaching my destination. I conveyed the issues to the drop off attendant.
Not being lied to when picked up car told them I needed to put a interlock on it They said ok State Farm is paying the bill it didn’t show yet I put card on it 30 days later I call to e stand again was told they need car return check it in paid never again

Not everything is up front as in reference to all the additional fess and charges. It is in the "Very Fine Print" FEES on top of other fees. I was told if I was to be late they would only charge me a "Pro-Rated" hourly fee... NOPE... 2 hours late, was charged for entire days rental fee? Sad way of doing business... Deception in business today is everywhere. I blame myself for being subjected to these horrible and greedy business practices. Slick marketing bandits... Fees are pure extra profit. PERIOD! I'll never do Dollar Rent-A-Car again.
