There wasn't anything likeable about the experience. I arrived at the location and after a twenty minute wait, I was informed that none of the five cargo vans that they had on site were operable. I was informed that a reservation doesn't secure a vehicle. I was also informed that the website will allow you to make a reservation, but that it doesn't mean anything. I spent $19 to get there via Uber, spent another $45 getting a second Uber to a second location after spending 30 minutes calling six other locations, and saw the cost of the reservation increase by approximately $70. A lot of wasted time and money was spent on reserving a vehicle that was utterly pointless. I will not be using this service ever again.

The vehicle performed as expected. The rental agent was polite and professional.
I booked the car online on their website via kayak at 9:30 am after speaking with an in-store associate. They had informed me if a car was NOT available for the 4:00 pm pick up I would receive a call by early afternoon. I received no call, attempted to proactively call a few times and received voicemail each time. Since I did not receive a call, I assumed the store associate was correct and a car would be there. Drove all the way there to find an empty store with solo store associate vacuuming. I informed him that I was there for a car pick up. Much to my dismay, he said none were available. I informed him of the transpired events up to that point, he let me know that he was so busy he never got a chance to call me. No car, no call, worst experience renting a car (or not) I’ve ever heard of.

My experience was awful! When I arrived to pick up the rental that I reserved I was told that they didn’t have the car that I had reserved. I was told they could give me a larger car, but would have to charge me the upsize price. When I told the agent that I reserved a car in the price range that I could afford, and showed her my confirmation information I was told that this happens all the time. That whoever people rent cars from on line don’t know the inventory at a store, but will still rent and give confirmation. In order to get a car to pick my daughter up from college, I had to pay more. When I dropped the car off, not only did that agent lack all customer service skills, by asking me to go back outside to get the mileage for her, which has never been asked of me by any company I’ve ever rented from, she also told me that these online companies, like kayak, Priceline, etc will rent 100 cars online for Avis on a given day, and they will have to turn half of those customers away because of lack of availability. I was very dissatisfied.

We did not receive the car / size we expected. Asked for a van they gave to us dirty and teaming with ants. She brought out the ant spray and it was empty. We needed to get on the road so accepted as is. It only had about two hundred miles worth the gas in it and they marked as full. They know they gave us a dirty van with less than full tank. They also added the extra insurance which I had declined. Upon return they made us fill the tank and threatened to charge for a dirty car - it had some sand on the floor. Terrible customer service with a no care attitude. I know it’s hard to staff business these days but it isn’t hard to be nice and provide integrity and customer service. I would use another provider In the area and I hope you have a better experience than we did. Btw there is a sizeable difference between a Nissan Pathfinder and a Kia sorrento. I know the website says you may not get the pathfinder but I needed a vehicle for 6 adults not for 5 and a jump seat.
