This experience was awful. The address that I got from the Cozumel office was wrong. The office did not exist. I called 3 times the Alamo office on the mainland (playa del Carmen). They hung up on me twice. After searching for 2 hours in the burning sun I got help from locals and after I found the office which was on another location we waited for 30 minutes in front of an empty Alamo office until the very ignorant franchisee guy told us he has no car for us. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I never had such an awful experience renting a car.

We had a reservation and met Rafael just as we exited the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. He was very friendly and helpful and also spoke great English. Our car was ready immediately and was very clean. Drop off was quick and easy as well. Definitely recommend! Gracias Rafael!

It would have been helpful to have information and pricing on insurance options posted.
The price I was quoted tripled after they tried to add insurance. They would not let us leave without their extra insurance. We canceled and rented a car somewhere else.

They Hertz location ran out of cars and couldn’t tell us anything and left us stranded to start our vacation. Worst way possible to start vacation. Never will rent from Hertz again.

I reserved a car that said it was going to be about $800 usd for 11 days. The staff in Cozumel when I arrived said that the $2700 that was preauthorized on my card was only a deposit and the final charge would be much less. When I returned the vehicle he said he would just email me the final bill which ended up being $2,500 USD, more than triple the original quote. I realize that there were taxes, insurance etc but even the core cost of the rental was $1700 usd, still more than twice the original quote. I tried calling customer service but could not reach anyone.
I did not get the car. After paying for it online, when I tried to pick it up, they wanted an additional $700+ US dollars! Outrageous. No where on my paperwork it it say I would be required to pay additional insurance upon pick up. I have rented in Mexico numerous times and have never been charged so much. Now im out my initial purchase.

It should be made clear up front when purchasing the rental online that there is an additional liability insurance you have to pay when picking up the rental car. This was hidden deep down into the confirmation email. I had to have the representative tell me over the phone where to find it. My rental premium ended up being double what I originally thought I would be paying. I'm not happy at all about this and will not be using them again.

They required additional payment upon arrival. Even though I had insurance through my credit card, they would not let me rent the car without paying an additional $30/day.
We changed the reservation and when we arrived there were no cars. This was disappointing. The man working at Budget was very nice and sorry. But he had no cars.

We loved that the car was fully electric. The service was also outstandingly good. The owner was fast, friendly, and didnt try to force us to buy anything we didnt need. Easy dropoff too, so we could catch our flight. The location was slightly inconvenient, as it's not inside the airport, but about a 4 minute walk across the street, rolling our bags etc. I will still rent from here next time we're in Cozumel.

Ad said located on the airport. I had to hike about a quarter of a mile to get to their office.. Ad lied as there were other car rental companies in the terminal. I was given a car with dings and scratches that were noted when I took the car but I was charged for additional damage that I certainly did not do ands might have been on the car at the start.. I was forced to pay for additional insurance that was not part of the quoted price. I have my own insurance but was still forced to pay about $100 more or walk back to the airport and rent from someone else.
