I liked thay I was able to use my own car insurance when picking up the car and not bring forced to take Dollar's insurance. The lady at the counter tried to force me to purchase Dollar's insurance and was mad when I didn't. In addition, the vehicle was not cleaned good. There were ants coming out of the vents when the AC was turned on and we found a bug that looked like a tick in the vehicle. It was AWEFUL! What could be done better? A positive customer service attitude even if the customer doesn't purchase the company insurance offered, and better vehicle cleaning.
Pickup took an hour waiting in line. Took 5 days from dropoff to get my receipt (needed for expense report). Dropped off a day early and they still charged me full price. Not a good rental experience, would recommend to rent from somewhere else.
I didn't get a car from dollar, got it from hertz and charged twice.
Ran out of vehicles and had get van instead of requested car. The van was dirty and was pretty rough.
No cars available at pickup. People were waiting over two hours. Despite having a reserved car, we eventually gave up and went across the street to ENTERPRISE, which had cars available right away. Never rent from Thrifty/Dollar!
