I booked wrong airport by mistake. Boston office was able to rent me a car although at a higher rate. I paid for my mistake by over 35% but was able to get the needed vehicle at Boston Avis office.
I got to the counter and nobody was there to help. I had to phone the guy who attended and got a smoke smelling car from some friends. Really a bad experience
I called local agent while traveling to ask question. He referred me to a (useless) 800 number which had never answered. Agent hung up and would not answer my subsequent phone call. His name was John (Bedford).
I was trying to rent a 4 wheel drive SUV in such snowy time but they only gave me front wheel drive one. I ended up getting stuck in the snow and paying $250 for towing fee. It is quite a disappointment that a customer couldn’t get what he was looking for.
Turned car in a day early and was charged for that day anyway. Very disappointed.
