Great service, easy pick up and drop off, very inexpensive
Vehicle was very low on gas. We put gas in and then when we brought it back it had a lot more gas in then when we picked it up. They refused to reimburse us for the extra gas that we had paid for. Very frustrating. I feel like this is their way of ripping us off

I liked nothing. I never even picked up the truck because the clerk at the counter said they were going to charge for kilometers when the ad specifically stated unlimited kilometers. That is the only reason I rented it because of the unlimited kilometers and so this is absolutely false advertising and I want my refund of $88.00 back from priceline and if you don't refund me then I will be going to the better business bureau and also to consumer matters on global news

Pick up took over an hour. Car was given to me on 1/4 tank, no wiper fluid, half drank bottles of pop under the seats, and the control system was flashing “OIL CHANGE REQUIRED” from first pick up. Shuttle service to airport is a very nice touch. Great price for rental and a very nice new vehicle to drive.
Once we found Avis within the Vancouver airport everything went smooth. The car was clean, ran well, and did what we needed it to do, get us from A to B. Drop off was easy as we were at the airport at 5am and there was no traffic or people.

Very nice vehicle. Clean, well kept, no damage. Only downside was the requirement for winter tires in BC which I tried to account for with my vehicle selection (intermediate SUV). The reservation was for a one way trip from Vancouver to Calgary. Sections of the mountains require winter tires by law. I called in advance to add winter tires to my booking and was told over the phone that they had to be added at the pick up counter which didn't make sense (wouldn't they need to know in advance to have the vehicle prepared or the correct vehicle available?)... At the pick up counter, I was told the only vehicles available with winter tires would be an additional $50/day. We ended up being charged an additional $200 in total to have the legally required winter tires on the vehicle. I would've thought that a one way reservation through the mountains would prompt an appropriately equipped vehicle with the legally required tires to be available. Beware of the unexpected upfront fees.

I called the company prior to arrival to ensure snow tires would be on the vehicle as they are mandatory on the roads during my stay. I was told yes my rental would come with snow tires When I arrived I was charged an extra $150 for my rental period as snow tires are extra. Very upset about this as I could have called other companies to ensure snow tires were included as advised by telephone
