Did not realize until we got to FL that our rental was off-site of the airport. Hertz agent at airport told us we needed to get a taxi to pick up car. No problem. We got our car, a Mission, roomy enough for my husband to get in and out of. Drop off was easy and they called a taxi for us.

This Hertz location was easy to deal with. My only comment would be if renting through Kayak, make sure you pay attention to where the pickup location is. My belief was I was picking up at the airport based on my search criteria. To my dismay I was told I had rented off the airport and had to take a taxi to the location.

Hertz changed my reservation without telling me. My weekly rate was $429. I extended my rental an extra week. When I dropped off the car, I was charged $1359.61. I am extremely disappointed with Hertz and Kayak.

Je devais aller chercher ma voiture samedi à midi, mais le bureau était fermé et personne ne m’avait avisé qu’il fermait à midi!!! J’ai dû travaillé très fort, avec l’aide d’une amie, pour avoir le remboursement de ma location!!! Jamais plus avec Hertz!!!

The Hertz location that I booked on Travelocity was nowhere near the airport. When I got to the airport that facility was closed. I had to go to the airport hertz facility and charged extra money taxes etc. The car had a shimmy in the wheel it was a Chevy trailblazer and a wobbly steering wheel. The window had been scratched by something that where they had put a sticker on it at some point. The driver side window. Absolute disaster.

The first car shook when you went 40 mph or more, and had a dirty interior windshield. The second car that replaced it, had a driver's side seat belt that was broken. The third car was okay, but I had no windshield washer fluid. All of this car changing was very stressful, as it made me late for a medical appointment. I would never rent from them again. The people that I interacted with at Sixt were all very nice.

This was the ONLY company that let me rent a car in FL and drop it off in GA 2 days later. All other companies required me to rent for 1+ weeks. I had never heard of Sixt before; will definitely be renting from this company again!

There was no car available when we came to pick up. Was told they had no idea when a car would be available and that we would get a call the next morning with an update which we never did get.

Kayak/Priceline had us picking up our car not at the airport like we thought but rather off location. To make matters worse, that location closed at 12 noon. This was the time of the scheduled pick up as per our contract. Needless to say, we were stranded on a Sunday with no car. Amazingly, the kind gentleman at the airport Avis cut us a deal and got us a car. We got lucky.

Like Jerry Sinefeld says you know how to take the reservation you don’t know how to keep the reservation. Booked a full size car and ended up with a keep compass. Otherwise the process went smooth.
