Despite our confirmation number, they had no cars available. Lots of other people were also sent away. Really stinks
They had the reservation, and when we arrived at the Airport basically told us they had sold too many cars to other people and scratched our name off he list providing zero help and assistance. Greedy they go with the most expensive reservations and leave you at the airport with no car. the don't even advise you before you arrive that they cancelled you.
The team at Hertz were very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well. The shuttle driver is great. Counter folks very nice and answered all our question about things to do. We will definitely use Hertz Costa Rica again on our next trip.
Car developed a flat tire while on the road. Called Hertz Whatsapp 24 emergency line no answer. Called the land line and was told to change the tire myself. When I asked what was the point of the 24 hour emergency line, I was told a flat tire doesn’t count as a breakdown. i will never use Hertz again. I will advise anyone who is even thinking about renting from Hertz to rent somewhere else. I advise booking.com to drop them as a source for car rental.
Did not have a car available for me to rent upon arrival. Had to spend x3 more at a rival company - who was very helpful, I may add.
