My flight got delayed, so instead of landing at 12:50 I landed at 2:45. I called Economy at 2:55 to let them know I was waiting for my bags and awaiting instructions for the shuttle. They stated that I should take the shuttle to the offsite rental car location then call back when I arrive so they can send a shuttle to get me. Upon arriving at the offsite airport rental car location I called Economy and they stated that they would send a shuttle that would arrive in 15 minutes BUT they may not have a vehicle because my rental had expired. 30 minutes later the shuttle arrived. When we got to the rental location we spoke to the rental agent who told us that due to the fact we made our reservation for 1:00 and it was currently 2 hours past that time, the system cancelled our reservation. When I asked if it mattered if we had proof that we were delayed or if it made a difference that we made initial contact with the rental agency prior to that time, the rental agent said that the system tied her hands. So the $232 we paid for our rental was not refunded and we had to pay an additional $177 to make a new reservation. I understand that the rental agent is limited in what they are able to do within the system, and even with that, she was very helpful. However I will not be using Economy again just to ensure that if I have another delayed flight I will not lose out on my payment.

Their location was closed at my scheduled pickup time. I came in the next morning and they did not have a car anymore.

Absolute pain to deal with this company. Tried charging extra for every step, and made it seem like they might charge me extra just for driving the car. Pay the extra 20 dollars and go anywhere else to rent the car

The staff were always hustling customers out their money. For example, I wasn’t given any choice in LDW and it was either I take it or forego the rental. Also I reserved a full SUV (Ford Explorer) but they claim Expedia did false advertising and all I can get is a mini SUV.

They force you into getting their insurance on top of the one you get. The deposit was crazy high and wasn’t fully refunded after being told the car was returned in the same conditions. To me it felt like a hustle and definitely won’t be booking with them ever again.
