I picked up my rental just before the office closed. It was the only minivan on the lot and I needed a 7 passenger vehicle to pick up my family from the airport. Basically I felt stuck. I had to accept that car or no car. The car had a horrible cigarette/weed smell in it. I let the lady working know it smelled like cigarettes and I also wrote it on my inspection form before leaving with the vehicle. The smell is so bad, especially if being in the car any length of time. We cancelled our beach trip that we were going to use the car for because the smell was SO bad. We were not able to use this vehicle for our intended purpose and this experience has obviously been very disappointing, as we were looking forward to this trip for a long time. We made the reservation over a month ago.

Drop off lady was disputing the gas saying it’s.not full the needle needed to be beyond the F I said check again she insisted it’s not full until she checked satellite which states it’s full tank….very unnecessary dispute

No car available even though we reserved one. Unhelpful staff. Would not give us an upgrade for free even though they had no car for us in the class we reserved. All very disappointing.

Reserved a car, but the car wasn't available. Budget offered a higher cost car, for almost $40/day more than the original price. That was unacceptable, and I was ready to find another rental place. As I was standing outside figuring that out, someone returned a car, and the guy at the desk told me he could let me have that for $10/day more. That was preferable to finding another car, but still disappointing. On the positive side, they turned the car around quickly.

POOR LOGISTICS long waits disorganized pick up and drop off...poor access and no appropriate warnings for on going work at the Charolette airport. Older car with 42000 mikes and poor sqeaking breaks for mountain driving a(@170$ /day) what a disaster

Service from staff and car was good. However the price by was dishonest - I travelled to Charlotte especially for the rate offered on line. Upon arrival there (and incurring a hotel cost to make this possible) the price at pick up was almost double - partially as no car in the class booked on line was possible and partially because of other costs thrown up. The online offer was totally misleading and so we felt cheated … We rented again direct from budget website in Miami a week later and that was totally different - what we chose on line is exactly what we paid in person. We had no choice in Charlotte as we had traveled 100s of km especially for the service. Please can you look into this as this is unfair advertising and pricing.

We arrived at 11:10 for our 11 am reservation only to be told by an employee in the parking lot they were closed and she refused to help us. Had to drive across Charlotte to get another car which then took over an hour despite only one person ahead of us in line. Car smelled like smoke

I did an online reservation for a car and then called ahead to confirm the pickup. When I arrived they said they had no vehicles. I wasted money and time on an Uber to go get a vehicle that they didn’t even have. The front desk staff said “I told them to stop accepting reservations, we ain’t got no cars”
