I got a car with a faulty tire that's was previously repaired wrong. I went to swap out the car and they were very nice about it that it was their fault. When I came to return the car they said I had a flat tire and charged me €350 for a flat tire and other charges. The car was supposed to be in total €400 and they charged me over €1000!!! I tried to reason with them but there is no one to talk to. I'll never again rent with Avis...
Budapest branch was excellent. The only problem is that I was not told that the Debrecen city drop off point has no staff member, so I should have figured out my self who to call and what to do

I was arrived way to early , but HERTZ help me out , changed to pick up & drop off time . they did more than good . everything was good . Ps : why I can't have a hertz membership ? in New York : talk to them , in Budapest , I said " I did " . I told them in Budapest , they said , " talk to them , where you rented the car ". It's a odd situation .

The car comes with no insurance. I had to pay for the standard insurance with excess and theft protection. The insurance cost more than the rental cost!!!! Be careful if CDW and TP are included!!!

Customer service was very poor. Difficult to work with and reason with.
We requested a medium car and even though we got the skids rapid I did struggle to fit two suitcases into the boot. I did miss the human aspect as No airy checked the car when I picked it up but then it was checked when I dropped off. Overall I felt it was an average experience.
We booked a car in the city center in Budapest, but when we arrived the office was still being set up and there was a “coming soon” sign in the window. There was another guy there who was also supposed to get a rental car so we shared a taxi to the airport. The people at the airport said it was a glitch that allowed us to book from that location since it’s not open yet. They made us wait for about 45 minutes, forced me to negotiate a lower price for our troubles and then told us we could drop it off at the city center location and he would email me instructions. So at the end of the weekend I still hadn’t received any instructions so we called and they said there’s a garage there, it’s super easy and then drop the keys in the drop box. Well, it was not easy. There were multiple garages and no enterprise signs anywhere. We called again and they sent us a map. We pulled into a garage and parked in a random spot. Then went to the new office and there was no drop box for the keys as they said there would be. The door was open and a guy came out and told us to go to the office next door. We went to that office and the guys wouldn’t take our keys so we went back and just gave them to the guy in the enterprise office bc we were so annoyed with the whole process. Basically make sure this location is fully functional before you book a car there.
