We were given incorrect information about our vehicle pickup when our flight was delayed. We were told that an agent would be available and when we arrived it was closed even though we were told that an agent would be there.

Beware of the off-hours drop box for keys! I had a 6am flight from PSP so I had to drop off the car before the Alamo desk opened. Boarded my flight. And my connection. When I got to my destination 5 hrs later, I was informed at the next airport that they couldn’t rent to me… because I had an open contract at PSP! Literally spent 1 hr 45 min at the counter trying to get someone at PSP to answer the phone. No idea why they couldn’t close out a contract within 5 hours of opening. Terrible service. Don’t trust the drop box process.

I asked to cancel 2 minutes after booking and fought with Kayak and Hertz about that, to no avail. The non-refundable car reservation is new to me, and should be made more obvious. I will not be using Kayak again. This inflexibility was not appreciated.

I rented with dollar rentals. There was no one there at the counter. I had to go to another counter. The person at the counter immediately tried to upsell me. Immediately tried to convince me I needed a bigger vehicle. We then found our insurance And tax was going to be another almost 800$ even though our rental was under 600$. This makes no sense to Me and I will never use kayak again. I am letting everyone I know what happened and about this extra cost that seems exponentially excessive. Very unhappy with dollar rentals and with kayak

They rented a 5 year old SUV. The vehicle broke down. I needed to spend half a day waiting for tow, tow driver trying to fix car, going with vehicle back to airport, waiting in line for a new car and driving back to our hotel over 30 minutes away. When I got back to airport, they would not reimburse for Uber ride to appointment or comp the car. Stay away from this rental company or expect a rough ride.

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.

They didn’t have the car I reserved and needed. They suggested I wait until 7pm when they thought one would be back. My reservation was for 1pm. I was forced to use another company in the airport.

the cost of this vehicle was ridiculous. 1 day $350 and when I asked what an additional 8 hours would be I was quoted an additional $300 dollars. Not going to use Avis again. Sorry.
