The wait at pickup counter took about 45 minutes! Budget appeared to be short-staffed as the only person working at the counter was assisting the priority lineup first and did not help the regular line until they were completely done. All the other rental counters were completely empty and the Budget line was about 10 people long. When someone eventually showed up, we told them about how long everyone had been waiting but they didn't seem to care at all. Not worth the wait.

Good deal, car was great! However. We waited in line almost 2 hours to pick up our reserved car when we arrived in Palm Springs. Only one staff working at the Budget desk, staff person was incredibly composed considering the pressure of the situation.

Waited in line for over an hour. 20 ppl in front of me and probably 75 behind me. Gave up and booked Avis for the same money and the next counter over. Walked away with my keys while my spot in line was still 10 ppl from the front. Tried to cancel the reservation twice phone rang out the first time and was hung up on the second time. Last time I ever book budget

I rented with dollar rentals. There was no one there at the counter. I had to go to another counter. The person at the counter immediately tried to upsell me. Immediately tried to convince me I needed a bigger vehicle. We then found our insurance And tax was going to be another almost 800$ even though our rental was under 600$. This makes no sense to Me and I will never use kayak again. I am letting everyone I know what happened and about this extra cost that seems exponentially excessive. Very unhappy with dollar rentals and with kayak

They rented a 5 year old SUV. The vehicle broke down. I needed to spend half a day waiting for tow, tow driver trying to fix car, going with vehicle back to airport, waiting in line for a new car and driving back to our hotel over 30 minutes away. When I got back to airport, they would not reimburse for Uber ride to appointment or comp the car. Stay away from this rental company or expect a rough ride.

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.

We booked a vehicle to seat 7 people plus accommodate 4-5 pieces of luggage. At best it could seat 6 and luggage space extremely limited. The vehicle could have been cleaner inside. The attendant at the counter was very good in Palm Springs. Drop off was easy.
