It was a terrible experience. They contacted me the day I was supposed to pick up the rental and cancelled the booking saying they were overbooked and offered me no alternatives. Plus I had to call a different department to get my money refunded to me.

I wasn’t able to rent a car because they charged me 600 dollars extra for showing up 2 hours earlier than reserved. They charged my card for that amount without discussing it with me or telling me the total would change that drastically. That location was disrespectful, incompetent and would not let me even speak to a manager. Told me to “take it up with the billing department”. Absolute trash

Called ahead to know if I could drop off car after hours. Spoke to an employee at the local branch who told me the car had to be returned before closing. When I arrived the day of return before closing, I noticed an after hours drop off mailbox outside and asked the employee about it. He was extremely rude and told me I was mistaken, that everyone at the branch knew the policy and of course I could drop off after-hours. Very rude employees overall, would not recommend.

The rental I made was no longer offered by hertz and no one contacted me and told me. I would’ve been out a rental for a very important show for my business. Thankfully I needed an extra day early and upon calling I was unable to get ahold of anyone. The corporate website sent me to an off shore answering facility who just kept asking me to provide a payment method. When asked to speak to a manager no one was available. I ended up driving to the hertz store I rented from (which was 30 mins away) and when I arrived there they told me that unfortunately they could not accommodate my reservation. Thankfully this was a week before my event so I was able to fortunately secure another rental through another company. I really wonder what would’ve happened had I not needed the vehicle a day early. My event could’ve been ruined and not a single representative from kayak or hertZ ever reached out. Terrible service on all ends.

Picked up vehicle, wasn’t cleaned. Windshield crack in transit and wasn’t able to get another car that I could exchange for. Ended up having to cancel my return trip because I wasn’t comfortable with how they handled the situation. Will not use again

When I went to pick it up they haven't had the car. We wait for 20 minutes, until a customer brought a car of the same characteristics. If I have a time appointment for pick up I would like the car be there at the time of my appointment

The intermediate SUV was unavailable and i was bumped up to the next size. Very happy it happened. I wouldn't have been happy with anything smaller as I drive an F250. Very comfortable ride. As a 1st time car renter and a senior citizen, I would have appreciated clear information on which locations provide transportation upon returning the rental.
