When we arrived at the Austin airport, the Enterprise manager called to say not to bother to come to the Enterprise office because there were no cars of any kind anywhere in Austin, even though we had made our reservation weeks ago and received a confirmation the day before our arrival. It was the Formula 1 Grand Prix and no cars we’re a available, regardless of our reservation and confirmation.

Great customer service, but minivan was not in good working order. The windshield wiper sprayer for the front did not work and the small rear most seat did not stow. I added a gallon of Rain X wiper fluid, but still no luck. After reaching my destination I looked more closely and found that the hose from the reservoir to the sprayer was disconnected. It appeared that the connector boot was getting loose so I reconnnected and secured it with a zip tie, added water and works now. For the rear seat, one of the tabs to pull (#3?) was missing. When I got to my destination, I dissassembled the seat where the tab was supposed to be and found it inside. I threaded it through the slot so it was usable again and reassembled the seat.

Was unable to rent a car for the days I needed (due to travel cancellations so not Avis fault). However, paying $50 for a reservation I cancelled minutes after making it was unfortunate. Please look into updating your website’s user interface on mobile, it was not very user-friendly.

Avis didn’t have the sedan available that I reserved so I ended up with a small SUV which certainly wasn’t ideal for my trip with my 85 year old mom.

I reserved rental car for the Austin airport thinking a shuttle bus will carry us to the rental place. By the time we called the place it was closed at 6 pm. Our reservation didn’t show time for closing. I was then told by Avis rep at the airport that you can pick up the car within 24 hr. We decided to pick up next day. When I called the rental place, the representative jacked up the price close to $485. We ended up having no car, which was a huge inconvenience in a city unknown to us.

About two hours before I was supposed to return the car, I realized I had selected the wrong airport. The customer service agent I spoke with did a fantastic job getting the issue rectified quickly. It was quite a relief.

I picked it up at 1:30 am. When I got to the car no one was there to explain anything. I finally saw one person and asked about the keys. I was told that they were on the dash or on the console. I finally found them. After driving for about ten minutes the low fuel warning came on. They had not filled it from the last rental. I had to find a station at two in the morning. After returning it I told the person what had happened and also that the Sun visor bracket was broken when I picked up the car. When I would put it down it hung at an angle. When I got the bill the basic rate had changed and the price was more than doubled. I called and after explaining the difference was told it was being sent to the investigation department. I checked my credit card and it was charged even higher than the e-bill.

The car return in Phoenix started ok but ended badly. There were signs about no personal vehicles allowed down in the car return lot, but I was traveling with two small birds and it was triple digits so I asked the gentleman working at budget if he would allow my brother to drive down and pick me up so I didn’t have to walk to him, he said that would be fine. So as I’m transferring my things into my brothers car the middle-age woman also working at budget started yelling at me and my brother about no personal vehicles, I tried to explain to her that her coworker gave me permission but she cut me off and continued yelling. Meanwhile my two small parrots that just traveled in the car for 18 hours are terrified. I understand there are rules for a reason, but her coworker was the one that gave me permission so if she should be mad at anyone she should go talk to him not yell at me, my family member and scare my pets, that was completely unprofessional.
