Pricey but convenient and simple

No issues with the customer service but I drove off with a vehicle that needed attention. I had a nail in my tire which I have reason to suspect was an issue before I received the vehicle. Also, the battery was on its final leg as it died on me right before I was scheduled for my flight. I almost missed my flight! Again, staff was friendly and eager to resolve my issue. Due to the time constraints I had to resolve all issues on my own causing a high degree of stress.

Pickup took two hours - not enough staff for volume of renters. Poor signage to get to cars. Drop off - no one to accept car. Not sure what to do. Leave key and walk away? Later a bill arrived by email charging us for filling the gas tank. A scam? We had just filled the gas tank before drop off. Called to complain. At this point not resolved yet. Avis gets a poor review this time.

Great experience at Avis Orlando - originally booked with a discount provider - but upon arrival discovered a ridiculous queue - and realized you get what you pay for.

Worst car retrial experience I’ve ever had. Avis couldn’t have made it worse if they actively tried.

Specifically chose this car because I was arriving late. Was told that wasn't a problem and a shuttle would pick us up and take us to the facility. Found the website to call for the shuttle and it said closed. Supposedly my credit card would be charged upon pickup. I will be checking my card to see that no charges were made. Ended up getting a car from National at the airport. Your site should show people if they are picking up at the airport or offsite. And, if it is offsite, they should be open 24 hours a day.

Had a problem with car fob and couldn’t start car. Took a long time on hold to get agent but they exchanged the car.

The car smelled horrible. In addition, The automated toll service is too expensive.

Cannot take the vehicle out of state. Should be stated plainly online when making reservation. Waste of time.

Bad service, very rude, arrogant, and ignorant lady and man. But car was good.

Tried to upsell me on a million things. Took forever for the shuttle. Had hidden fees they tried to get out of me, including for a toll pass. Really regretted going here instead of a more established chain.

We declined the insurance because we explained that we already had insurance through our visa. After ,36 hours of non sleep we did not read the fine print and trusted the integrity of the salesperson. Unfortunately she added the insurance and we were charged 279.92 for our 8 day rental. We feel we were taken advantage of by this person. Because if this we would not recommend this company to anyone and our review will not be favorable.

Pick up at the Orlando Airport was painful. There was an extremely long line with only one counter service employee processing customers. The counter agent was condescending, rude, relentless in trying to get customers to purchase additional items, and unpleasant with me and with all of the women I observed him interacting with in my wait. Compared to the rental experiences I’ve had in Europe and recently in Seattle; this felt like I’d gone back in time 20 years. I felt embarrassed for all the foreign tourists in-line thinking this is what our country is like.

My experience with Dollar was average. They did their jobs nothing special.

Car was good.Staff good But and a big but.The charge for electricity of $94 was atrocious for a battery. Recharge And I barely made the return to Sarasota drop Lucky as no charge stations available

I specifically told the agent no CDW insurance. He added it so my $219 price you gave me was $545. Didn’t notice until the next day. You can’t call them and you can’t fix it. $10.55 per gallon if you don’t have time to put gas in the car. I feel totally taken. I looked at reviews and I am one of many - the overcharges seem pretty much how they do business. I will never rent from Thrifty again, ever.

Great people and courteous they were fast

Shuttle bus did not have sufficient capacity, left people stranded. Check in process was lengthy (2hrs from arrival). Weird processing on verification of insurance- non standard from rest of car rental industry. Car was not clean on inside. Multiple times required photos of Personable identifiable information (non standard). Employees did not have a valid explanation for their process. Return took too long as well. Did not instill trust in the process.

NextCar is a complete scam. First, the terms under which we rented through Kayak changed when we arrived: we could not leave the state of FL, had only limited miles, and had to present proof of insurance that was required to be a carrier on their "list". Next, they were *requiring* that we pay for additional insurance from them -- for hundreds of dollars - unless we could show proof of insurance. So, I pulled up our full auto policy on my device and then they changed the story and said that, because our carrier was not on their "approved list", we would still need to buy their insurance. We indicated it was fine and that we would simply dispute the extra "insurance" charge after the fact with our credit card company. They then flat out refused to rent the car to us at all because we said we were planning to dispute the portion of charges not originally agreed to when booking through Kayak. The representative behind the counter was outwardly rude (was mocking me when I began to record so our cancellation, forced by them, didn't come back on us afterwards) and clearly had requirements/quotas/commission with her employer because you could tell this had happened there before and she was fully prepared for an adversarial encounter from second one. At the same time this was happening to us, there was a gentleman to my left with the EXACT SAME issue. Shortly after walking out to go back to the airport to go to a reputable car rental company, another group walked out behind us stating the EXACT SAME thing again! As we shared our stories together with these other groups while waiting to get back to the airport to find another rental, they kept watching all of us from inside as well as a man outside a second entrance with a laptop... just odd and creepy and none of us felt comfortable there at all. Nonestly, this exact thing likely happens dozens of times a week at this place and they are purposefully preying on customers who have been shuttled out to their building that is 15 mins from the airport and have no place else to go, no means to rent another car, no availability of another car, English is not their first language, or they are tired from travelling and will sign and agree to anything. On their best day, this "business" is unscrupulous... but, in reality, it is an actual, real-life, out-in-the-open scam. We have rented cars from various rental companies - some brand name, some very small - all over the world and have NEVER encountered what happened there. It is my strongest recommendation that Kayak never list their company or vehicles ever again... if you do, I am telling you that you are supporting a near-criminal (classic bait and switch) company.

The travel service we used had a pickup that was half an hour from the airport, so we popped into the Enterprise office at the airport and the two VERY NICE people in the office made it happen - we were able to pick up and drop off at the airport and not have to uber from place to place. What a relief!!! Thank you ENTERPRISE!!!!

No complaints at all I was very happy

In my experience, Enterprise's service-oriented business culture is so much better than any place else I've used. The Union Park Orlando branch was great.
