The best time to visit Paris is in summer from June – August or autumn months of September – October. The average summer temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius and you can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities. However, this is also peak tourist season, hence accommodation rates and flight prices tend to soar. For lower travel rates and significantly shorter lines to see the attractions, plan your Paris trip around September – October. If you can brave the cold, then visit Paris from November – February and save significantly on flights and hotels. Paris does not receive much snowfall and the average winter temperature is about 8 degrees Celsius. In the last week of September and again at the end of February, fashionistas from all over the world are in the city for the Paris Fashion Week events. Keep in mind that hotel rooms will be harder to find around those weeks. Once spring sets in between March – May, temperatures range from 12 – 20 degrees Celsius and afternoon rain showers are quite frequent, especially in May. Colourful spring blooms all over the city make spring a beautiful time to visit Paris.

Paris, the city of lights, is a splendid mix of peculiar charm and posh urbanity. One of the most visited cities in the world, Paris is rich in monuments, history, art, architecture, food, fashion, and overall beauty, all of which easily evokes the most romantic emotions. Paris is split in half by the Seine River with the northern side of the river being called the Right Bank and the southern area referred to as the Left Bank. The city is divided into 20 different zones called ‘arrondissements’, with the Notre-Dame Cathedral being the ‘centre’ of Paris. Because of its many distinct zones or neighbourhoods, it can be overwhelming to decide where to stay in Paris.
Louvre – Jardin des Tuileries (1st arrondissement)
This area upholds the luxury, romance and mystique which the city is known for. Many of the popular Paris attractions are within walking distance in this neighbourhood. If you fancy 5-star luxury accommodation, stay at the luxurious Le Meurice, located on Rue de Rivoli, just minutes from the Louvre. Or choose the ultimate glitz and glamour experience when you stay at the Ritz Paris. For budget-friendly boutique accommodation, consider Hotel La Tamise, just across from Jardin des Tuileries. Enjoy spacious rooms, a courtyard garden and a spa pool beneath gold-stone vaults, when you stay at the Hotel La Lanterne. You also have the small boutique hotel, Hotel Les Dames du Pantheon which is located on Place du Pantheon, an ideal spot from where you can explore some key Paris attractions on foot.
Saint Germaine-des-Pres – Odeon (6th arrondissement)
This is a classically Parisian neighbourhood with sidewalk cafes, bakeries, art galleries, churches and museums, and is a convenient central location to make your base while you explore Paris. Enjoy luxurious rooms and beautiful décor if you stay at the Relais St. Germaine. Stay in the super stylish, Hotel Atmospheres located in the heart of St. Germaine des Pres on the Left Bank or consider the L’Hotel on Rue des Beaux Art with designer bedrooms and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
