The car was completely dirty. There was a obligatory charge of a insurance coverage not informed during the booking process at Kayak site. I do want the reimbursement of that cost as this turn to an unbalanced cost x benefit ratio in comparison with the other car rentals.

When I arrived, I was told that they had not confirmed the reservation. Then I was told that I would need to buy insurance for the car. This cost more than the rental. The car provided was quite dirty inside as well.

When I arrived to Montevideo I called Thrifty in order ro pick us up at the airport. Thrifty represenative told me, that they do not have the car for us. He said, that I did not book with Thrifty directly and therefore my order is invalid and they do not have it in their system. I told them that I have received confirmation from Thrifty and that the problem is on theor end. After 30 min of intensive conversation the guy finaly admitted that they have some last other car, but more expensive. I decided to rent this car because I was under pressure.they provided Geely, originaly I booked Mercedes E. My experience with them is dissapointing.

Returning the car was a little difficult. They were supposed to be open, the sign on the door said open, but they were closed and the gate to park your car off the street was also shut

The agent Ramiro was outstanding. He was friendly, competent, quick and even provided his cell phone number in case there are any problems. Thank you Ramiro for a great job. This was ready at the time agreed (very different to a competitor in Argentina where I had to wait for more the an hour while other customers get cars right away).

Good service and car, but all their paper work is completed electronically so you do not receive the pre auto inspection at the time of taking the car (so you don’t know what they identified as already damaged) and you do not receive the closed contract upon returning the car so you don’t know if they will say there was damage to the car at a later time. Everything comes by email days alter so that is stressful.

Pretty new, comfortable car in excellent condition. Pick up was delayed because apparently the office was short in staff. Drop off worked very well . Office staff was very cooperative and helpful.

We showed up, had our confirmation information, and they had no word of the reservation. They made us pay a higher price and wait around for about 2 hours until they could find a car, clean it, and rent it to us.
