I reserved a car in advance through Kayak and as we were taking an uber to the Budget location I called ahead only to learn that they had overbooked and had no cars available at all. I was given sympathies but no actual help. Very poor experience. I still don’t understand how car rental companies and airlines can get away with overbooking and just shrug their shoulders to the people who get screwed.

The customer service line is atrocious. They scheduled my pick up for a time after the site had closed. I spent $50 on Lyft fares to get there and back to my hotel (sans car, no less). First service rep on the phone kept repeating the time of my reservation like some broken AI and then hung up on me when she simply didn’t seem able to acknowledge their screw up. In the end I had to reserve the car pickup for the next morning. Counter people were great, but their customer service line seems incredibly incompetent.

Friendly staff in Nashville they upgraded our car because that’s all that was available. We came to pick up later than scheduled by Uber and it was a good thing because there would have been no cars available at that time. We waited approx 30 plus minutes for ours but once we had it all was well.

Avis rents cars, we reserved a car for rent, upon arrival, they had no cars. We had to change other reservations costing us money and then they had the gall to charge us $50 for "non-cancellation fee".

The location was a little tricky to get into because of current construction. The place was very easy to deal with, no huge wait while employees tap around on computers for :30mins. In and out and they make sure you have what you need. Perfect.

When we went to pick up our reserved vehicle we were told “sorry we have no cars”. Basically told to take our chances at the airport to see if another car company has a car for us. We did eventually get a car (from Avis at the airport) and an hour into our drive the flat tire light came on. Turns out they gave us a car with a nail in the tire (I hadn’t noticed a sticker on the key chain that said “tire nail”). So we had to lose more time from our vacation to trade the car in (in another city) where the Avis rep was rude and downgraded us from the car we were given. They also charged me more than my quotes price, so now I’ll have to call and hash that out with them. I will never rent from Avis/Budget again
