Collection process was slow but the staff were excellent and very helpful. Drop off procedure was not very clear, one staff member told me I had to queue again (could have taken an hour!) but luckily another overheard and corrected him & dealt with us.

Hi, i am very disappointed with the whole experience. Budget were very unhelpful when picking up the car and charged me £ 535.84 for the car hire, i asked for a breakdown and they said they couldn't give it to me, i asked for an invoice and they said they had no printer, therefore, i had no paperwork at all, just a visa debit receipt for my money. Budget said they would email the invoice with the breakdown, however, 2 days later when i called Priceline to request the invoice from Budget, they said i would have to call direct. I called Budget and they did not answer. When i took the car back on Sunday, i arrived early and requested an invoice, again they said they could not print, again they said they would email, but as of now, i still have had nothing, To say i am disappointed is an understatement. The cost Kayak and Priceline gave me for the total car hire was $210.14, which in sterling is approximately £165.00. i have been charged £ 535.84 to date, please help and advise? regards Darren

Big queue at Budget Grenoble and only one member of staff when returning the car. So unfortunately just left the key without getting the return signed off. They are now claiming €400 for two non existant scratches ! Fortunately I videod the condition of the car and am now in dispute with Budget . DO NOT USE THEM

Europe car staff was rude and untruthful. Car had damage on every body panel. When you refuse extra insurance they force you to sign a contract promising to pay nearly double the MSRP if the car if it is damaged. (Fiat 500 MSRP 17k insisted I sign to pay 30k USD)

The car assigned was missing a hubcap and had body damage from a previous rental. No after hours drop off instructions provided for destination, and dark desolate Eurocar drop off location in Grenoble. Due to miscreants loitering in the dark in the area, decided not to risk my life, and left tand incurred an add’l days rental to return following day.

I normally dread going to the sales desk at a rental car company because normally they try and sell you everything. On this occasion, europcar had all the info they needed, didn't try and sell me anything, had the right size car available and only required a signature and a swipe of my credit card. And the when I dropped it off the handover was seamless, the staff were friendly and didn't try to find an issue with the car so that they could charge me more money. It really was the best experience I have ever had hiring a car (apart from the overall price, but I understand that is down the market, not Kayak or Europcar).

The desk was poorly manned, we had to wait an hour and a half after the previous client had waited two hours or more, or even closed on drop off. No parking spaces available, car not clean, badly damaged and not reported on pick up. Overall not good, stick with the Swiss side, after all of the extras and hassle on the French side, the Swiss is a much better prospect.

Needed to change my pickup time. They claim 24 hour service but 1) their customer service said on Saturday and Sunday they were out of operational hours, 2) didn’t respond to emails or customer service forms on their website. Sixt then ended up cancelling the reservation and when I arrived at the car rental, they said they could only rebook at a new price - twice as much.

Never EVER travel with Avis on the French sector of Geneva Airport. There is no signage / wayfinding to the return area. I spent 45 minutes driving around putting in their “suggested” location onto goggle maps and WAZE which literally makes you drive around in circles. The return is down some dodgy road, where the maps is telling you to do a UTURN. None of the contact details are Correct on the paperwork. The charge for dropping off on the Swiss side was over £500. It would have taken Avis 10 min to drive it back to the French side. The car also didn’t have a full tank.

When collecting the vehicle it was found to be dirty inside, front windscreen was awful could almost not see through it was so filthy, in fact the vehicle was picked up from what seem to be the return bay ....on the opposite side it seem that was where the clean vehicle were....dissapointing as had no choice as was in rush to drive to the Alps, in the vehicle that was given, possibly due to the low cost via USA website Also I asked to make certain i had snow chain as per French law, was given one set but apparently one was already in the vehicle as per normal , and was charged an additional €65 despite the return person confirming i would not be charged if not used (which wasn't) beside this all was fine

It has been a nightmare to pick the car up from French sector since you are not allowed to pass through within the airport building. This was very uncomfortable with all the ski gear, etc. We were given a car damaged allover and with summer tires on which is illegal in France in 48 departments in mountainous areas. We could not drive the car because of snow and had to cancel many of our programs. Dropping off luggage at Geneva airport Swiss sector then dropping off the car at French sector was cumbersome. I will never rent from AVIS again. Worst renting experience in my life!

The car was OK. The price was extremely high. We didn't have a clue what an AdBlue is, and we were stuck in a gas station, with no ability to start the engine, after filling engine oil... :) The staff should not assume all worldwide customers are familiar with AdBlue... and/or have diesel cars.
