Avis staff were great. Very efficient, no queues, immediate drop off. Car was in great condition. Main problem was with booking through the brokers kayak and Qeeq. I booked a mid sized SUV on the broker site because I have 3 kids to fit across the back with car seats. When I arrived at the desk, they had a VW Golf for me. I don’t blame Avis: this is the class of vehicle that was booked by the broker. In my opinion that was false advertising by the broker. I had to upgrade at the desk, luckily they had a bigger vehicle. I would book direct with Avis next time and cut out the cowboy broker

The car hire company have taken £1800 out of my credit card with no contact or information why, obviously I will have go through the hassle of finding out why.

The drop off in Newquay was confusing, no signage for the dropoff. The staff were friendly and helpful. We picked up a car in Bristol that had been keyed all along one side of the car. The attendant in Bristol advised us to take pictures. We did and the dropoff attendant looked at them.

Staff great.

It wasn't made clear during the booking process that this was through the US site and didn't include collision waiver (as this is normally included with US credit cards). Upon arrival for pickup it was requested that we pay an additional £12/day for this insurance as we were paying with a UK credit card which didn't have this cover. This should have been identified during the booking process to forewarn or prevent non-US clients from booking on the site.
