On your site, I put DFW airport. The location I had to pick up the car was on the other side of town. The rental place at the airport would not change the pickup location so I had to take an Uber to get the car. They also have overcharged me by $1000. I sent an email once I saw it and they have not contacted me back. It will be a cold day in hell before I use them again.

When we picked up the car we were told no smokers allowed or you will be paying a cleaning fee of $450…. But yet they gave us a car that had smokers before us. Made the trip harder with our kids and asthma issue. The smells was awful, Texas temp reached above 100 all week long and the smells never went away. We were able to drop the car to a new location without extra charges 👍

Overall a good experience. Richard was working hard. They seemed short staffed. The only disappointment was the vehicle itself. It was a nice Toyota Highlander. However there seem to have been large stickers on the windshield at some point. Multiple places were the sticker adhesive was still there and clouding the view. 3 of them on the windshield. And they weren't small. Add in some kind of residue on the passenger window and overall visibility was reduced considerably. Because all those plus the Avis stickers about smoking and it was a bit much.

It's extremely inconvenient that they'll only rent if you have a credit card, and this isn't plastered all over the check out page. It's a stupid company that won't take cash on the table, because it's not a credit card. Charge more for non-credit transactions, fine, but to make me waste money on two Ubers just to be told 'sorry, it's in our TOS that you can't rent without a credit card', with no obvious mention of this during checkout is absurd.

I opted for prepay for fuel usage and it was charged for full tank of gas to my CC. When I picked up the car, the fuel was not full, it was three quarters of a tank. I immediately brought this to the attention of the Avis rental agency. The guy said he will adjust with a refund to my CC. But when I returned my rental, I have been charged for the full tank. I called several times but no one picks up the phone and the national Avis customer service did not help either. So the service is not good and they should not be charging incorrectly for the fuel.

When I booked they told me that I could book with my banking card if they did a soft credit check and a $200 deposit. I booked for one day. I had a friend drive me to the store. There they told me I could not rent a car for just one day with a debit card. It ruined my whole entire week and this Greatly inconvenienced my friend

The guy at the checkout place did not know how to help the company. The objective from a business standpoint is to get the product off the shelf. I did everything in my hands to check out the car but soon as I figured out the obstacle he threw at me, there was another one waiting. Went to another company and had a car checked out in 15 minutes.
