The agent who helped us was like all rental car agents I've experienced - constantly trying for the up-sell, only sharing information that would save us money when we asked specific questions, and keeping the total price of the rental vague to us until the paperwork was all printed and we were supposed to sign. Not different from other rental car agents, but certainly not better either. We were warned that specifically in Europe, rental car agencies are very particular about small spots of damage on their cars, so we documented everything with a photo and went back to talk to the rental agent with those photos before we left. I'd highly recommend everyone do this, because they updated the damage report according to our photos. The car itself was pleasant, and the return process was easy.

We booked at a certain rate and then they told us that the insurance wasn’t included because we booked through the US/Canadian site - the person working behind the counter at the Marseille airport was not very helpful or nice at all. We had a much better experience on the same trip renting with Alamo.
