The drop off site lied and told us to rush our return to 4:30 even though our reservation was until 5. Threatened us that the gates would close so that we would not be able to return until the next day. Resulted in fuel surcharge and 6 hours of stressful driving. Customer service upon arrival was beyond rude.

Pros: The cost of the vehicle was great. No issues with the actual vehicle. Good on gas. Cons: Hours of operation was hectic. Staff dropping off was horrible. Actually waiting for support to reach out about my experience. I will never rent from Hertz based on my drop off experience.

Avis rental facility was closed when I arrived, leaving me stranded in downtown Pittsburgh alone with three large heavy suitcases. I had to pay cab fare there and then back to the airport. The Avis at the airport would not honor my reservation which was for $60 dollars approximately and I ended up having to pay $300 for a rental car- plus the $100 worth of cab fare. Absolutely horrible experience, will never rent from them again.

I was charged almost double for a car that was terrible - the original pick up point (that I booked) didn't have a car available - had to get a $70 uber to next pick up location and then I was charged $770 for the week vs the agreed price of $400 - terrible service. I was also just handed a set of keys and told it was in the car park somewhere - so had to search through around 600 cars to find the car.

Didn’t get a refund on deposit, wasn’t aloud to pick up car because they don’t accept my credit card. Still stuck in Pittsburgh waiting for a greyhound.

The staff was very friendly and empathetic and worked hard to resolve my pick up issue. The car that I ultimately received was excellent.

The neighborhood outlet that I rented from because of proximity called the day of my pick up to advise that they had no car for me to to previous renters failure to return on time. They could not get a car sent to them from another location. The agent was very concerned and found a car available at a not too distant alternative. I am chalking this experience up to the overall supply shortage coming out of the pandemic.
