My car broke down pulling out of a filling station onto a busy road. I called Avis and a tow truck came with replacement car after waiting for a few hours. However, my complaint is that I did not get a single apology from anybody at Avis or compensation of any kind for the treacherous situation I was put in due to being hired an unsafe car. And apparently there is nobody to speak to in any kind of a customer support role- only being told to send an email to customer support! I find this totally unacceptable for what could easily have been a fatal situation.
