I paid for my car rental in advance, when I arrived I was told I needed to pay an additional €238. Wish I had gone with enterprise who were only £10 more expensive than the original price and had no hidden costs!!! Car was also damaged all over and had clearly had water damage on all the seats that had no been cleaned. In the extra they made me pay they said it included their flexi drop off which meant I didn’t need to fill the tank up. I returned the car with over 3/4 of a tank left and have been charged and additional €20 as a fine for this!! Absolute joke, will never use gold car again!!

Very easy pickup and drop-off. Shuttle bus service was great even if directions weren't especially clear. At the time of booking I selected the luxury SUV, Kia Sportage or equivalent. I got an MGZS which is significantly smaller, lacking in any kind of luxuries, I couldn't connect my phone and it had no sat nav. The car seriously struggled up hills and I had to drive up a lot of them. I don't expect to get the exact make and model of car they use to demonstrate the class of vehicle but I don't expect quite such a downgrade and would not have booked through them if I had known

Everything was good, but the price of extra insurance was not explained thoroughly at the rental counter and ended up costing us a lot more than if we had bought insurance at the time of booking.

When we went to pick up our car at the airport it was not there and somehow the reservation got screwed up and we had to Uber to the center of nice to pick it up. Then they told us they didn’t have our car and had to upgrade us but rather than accommodate the upgrade at no charge it cost us an additional $400. Returning the car to Naples airport was a bit confusing to find the return area and we were waiting at a gate for 10 minutes because no one gave us the code to drive it into the drop off

It was a perfect experience. The young gentlemen were very welcoming and super helpful. I felt very confident and both interactions, pick up and drop off was efficient and pleasant. Price was good and competitive. Rental cars very overpriced this year!! The only complaint was receiving a call from Enterprise around halfway into our 9 week rental period asking us to return the car to NIce airport as the lease had expired and we needed to be given another car. We told them if they wanted to exchange the car they had to bring a car to us (approx. 20Kms distance) as returning to Nice airport was inconvenient and we had rented the car for 62 days. The answer then was OK keep the car till the end of the rental period. Billing to the credit card was very slow and has only just posted.

This is the 3rd time renting with Europe car. Wanting reasonable insurance and having to pay 42 euros per day was insane cost. Our credit card covered collision so comprehensive insurance shouldn't ever cost that much. Trains and busses are better options.
