Excellent location with access to bus system and fantastic restaurant options within walking distance. It was easy to walk to many sights. The cookies left out in the late afternoon were delicious.
The bed was very uncomfortable with a mattress so soft and worn I was unable to get a good night of sleep. The room’s two chairs felt like sitting directly on the springs, making it uncomfortable to work. There was also a distinct and unpleasant odor in the room.
Beautiful property that is even more spectacular in person.
Not a great first impression was made when front desk lady came across as condescending when I asked about parking and she said ‘it’s right there-across the street’ like I had been there before.
Loved the decor. Well kept and clean! Bed was super comfortable.

The room was quant and sweet, breakfast was nice and the little touches like free sherry and cookies every day were very sweet. Great location close to Japantown - it's a little far from the centre but I wanted to stay somewhere a bit more quiet and there's loads of public transport around.
Appreciate that the hotel is old but certain elements were a bit run down and could have used a freshen up. Also unfortunately as I was in the lobby waiting for my car to the airport I did see a mouse. I told the receptionist who didn't really seem that bothered!
The atmosphere, the vibe. Great location cost to Japantown. Big room. Very nice and friendly personnel.
The breakfast could offer more choices, but what was offered was very good
Super beautiful old building with lots of attention to detail! The beds were cozy and the free breakfast and afternoon tea/cookies was such a lovely bonus!
Only thing we noticed was that the tv didn’t get most channels.
Staff was very friendly and breakfast was really good. All spaces were clean including bedrooms and bathroom
Location was a little hard to get to. Room was really warm (I don’t think ac worked or if the room even had one ) and there was no screen on windows which made me feel uneasy
Everything was good, location and the victorian decoration and ambiance are really special. Breakfast was good!

Lovely sitting / living room downstairs. There are fireplaces and comfortable chairs and sherry hour at 4pm.
