We didn’t actually get the car. Our reservation was for 10; the car wasn’t ready until 1:30, at which point we cancelled our excursion. At first I thought it was because we were delayed in getting there, but it turns out lots of people had the same issue—no cars. The woman behind the counter did the best she could, no issues with her!

Easy pick up and drop off I was pressured to purchase insurance despite having my own coverage Charged extra because of paying tolls before hand because driving outside San Juan Charged extra for a second driver Paid more than double the price quoted

The car had roaches and had a lot of stains in the seats. After dropping it back at the airport and got our receipt online we noticed charges like the LDW that we got through the app and the lady at the airport took notice when we picked the car. In total they charged $199.92 for the LDW. They also charged for Roadside assistance and Personal Protection which we never asked or wasn’t offered. I will never use Thrifty again. I called their number in San Juan airport (787)253-2525 to file a claim and it took them 25 minutes to answer the call. Horrible service.

The service was great. Super easy pick up and drop off. The bad part was the car seemed to have an electrical problem. I used the car play and everytime we went over a slight uneven road it would disconnect the phone, not using the using and using the usb, which caused distraction to driving.

I paid for Allianz life insurance for $11/day separately and then was also charged coverage of $25/day (basically the same daily rental price as the car) on top of that so it was double what I expected. Probably will dispute the charge.

The Thrifty counter at the airport was closed so we picked up from Hertz. Simple enough. The car was adequate, but the key fob rarely worked and it was frustrating to have to manually open the doors. We were only given one key and the key ring was braided metal with a loose piece that pricked my finger several times. The Corolla may also need brake work as they vibrate when pressed on downhill sections of the highway.

The pick-up location isn't at the airport but in the heart of Condado which I new anyway so you have to add a ride to and from the airport if you fly in.

Office closed at 12:00 p.m. on a Saturday (having the office placed in a touristic location). When I went to another office (in SJU airport) they weren’t interested on offering me a solution keeping the same price but twice as much. Overall experience 0/10.

The shuttle to and from the airport was fine, but the drop off location was difficult to find especially in the early morning. They need to do a better job of explaining that at check-in. The morning crew was surly, (somewhat understandable) but they could have done a better job at saying "good bye and come back soon!"
