DislikedWhen we checked out we received our bill and my husband paid it, when we got home our bank statement showed two pending transactions for the savoy one was for the bill amount and the other was for an extra £150.00, I promptly rang to ask what the extra payment was for they said it was because we had gone over our set limit of £1,400, I replied we had no idea there was a set limit this has not been explained to us, I also explained that we had paid in full, so therefore the extra money would have been an overpayment. The receptionist said don’t worry it’s not coming out of your bank, but as far as I’m concerned if it’s telling me it’s a pending payment it usually comes out we were told to wait a few days to see if the transaction takes place , fortunately it did not come out, but I think if this is the policy to set limits it should be discussed with the guest on arrival on this occasion this did not happen. We were surprised that this was not mentioned, and as we are repeat customers it’s not something we had experienced in the past.

LikedEveryone we met during our stay went over and above to ensure we had an amazing time. The attention to detail was incredible, from reception staff, all bar staff, restaurant staff, doormen, concierge and the housekeeping staff.....totally 10 out of ten! We cannot wait to return 🙌

LikedGreat location and even greater service. We were celebrating my son’s graduation - the Savoy staff went over and beyond in making it special. There were congratulatory balloons & chocolates in the room and judging from the ‘congratulations’ from various staff members (from the front desk to room service), everyone seemed to have ‘gotten the memo’. It made our stay extra special. In particular, I’d like to mention Genci, the loveliest doorman, who always welcomed us so warmly, and Lea of the front desk who never failed to ask about our day.

LikedReally upped their game from our last visit. We tend to stay here or the Corinthia. Savoy have beat them this time(although spa facilities better at Corinthia) but food, rooms and service are better at Savoy

LikedBeautiful hotel with a storied history in an ideal location in London center, terrific breakfast, exceedingly gracious and exceptional staff (special thanks to Concierge, Darren M.), excellent experience at restaurant “1890”. We enjoyed an overall wonderful stay and will return.
